Forward converter using a resonant auxiliary circuit to provide soft‐switching and reset the magnetic core

In this paper, a new ZVT forward converter is presented in which the third winding of utilised to transfer power from input output, recover energy leakage inductance and snubber capacitance, also provide ZVS condition for switch. proposed converter, main switch turned ON OFF under condition, auxiliary operates ZCS condition. Besides, all diodes are their reverse recovery losses alleviated. Moreover, voltage stress limited voltage. As result, efficiency improved. Since both switches share same ground, no isolated gate driver required implementation introduced converter. Also, due almost flat curve it suitable applications where load range wide. The analysis, operating principals design considerations discussed performance justified by results 240 W prototype
